In August of 2022, Pioneer Construction, Inc. broke ground on the new Digby Hotel, a Digby Investments project. The Digby is located at 200 West Bryan Street, occupying the last untouched lot on Ellis Square.
The new six story boutique hotel will match the historic theme of downtown Savannah, both architecturally and in its interior design. This unique property will have a Basement Lounge, Mainstreet Restaurant, four floors with thirty-six luxury rooms in total, and a Roof Top Restaurant and Bar. To maximize the size of the building there are zero lot lines, with a mere six inches apart from the neighboring parking garage. The tight building parameters offer some unique obstacles to the building process however, the finish product will look like it has always been there.
The Digby will accommodate a vibrant social life for their guests. Being located alongside City Market, the heart of Savannah’s tourism, guest will have easy access to popular art galleries, restaurants, tourist attractions, and other downtown activities. The Digby’s two restaurants and basement lounge will contribute to the ever-growing City Market. Offering three new options for tourist and Savannah natives to choose from for a premier dinning experience.
Completion of the Digby is projected to be completed late spring early summer 2024.
