Progressive Insurance Enjoys New Space

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently completed the renovations for Progressive Insurance in the Oglethorpe Office Park building on Mall Boulevard in Savannah, Georgia.  The 5000 square foot space will house administrative functions for the national insurance provider.

Emergency Command and Control Center Progresses

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently began work on the City of Savannah's new ER Command and Control Center.  The 4300 square foot center will be housed in the basement of the Savannah Civic Center and will serve as a back-up office for City officials in the event of a catastrophy. 

S.L. King Associates, in association with Barnard Architects, is the design and engineering professional on this project.  Barry Fransen is serving as the Project Manager supported by Eric Elling as Project Superintendent. 

The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2011.

Pioneer Completes Several Projects

Early 2011 saw the completion of several renovation projects for Pioneer Construction, Inc. - including the Vaden Signature Sales Showroom on Abercorn Street (Barry Fransen, Project Manager), the Georgia Power facility on Highway 80 (Graham Cooper, Project Manager) and the repair and restoration of the Bryan County Public Works building in Pembroke, GA (Barry Fransen, Project Manager).

 In addition, PCI completed the new construction of a modular dock in Savannah for Fed Ex (Tim Thureson, Project Manager).

Savannah Cartage Breaks Ground

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently began site work and preparations for the construction of a 12,000 square foot warehouse for Savannah Cartage.  Graham Cooper is serving as the Project Manager and is supported by Robert Moore as Project Superintendent. 
The project is expected to be complete in Fall 2011.

Pioneer Construction Completes MWBE Certification with City of Savannah

Pioneer Construction, Inc. was recently awarded its Certification as a Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the City of Savannah. 

Linda Jaeger, founding partner and majority shareholder of Pioneer Construction, Inc., stated, "We are glad that the City of Savannah has provided more structure to its MWBE Program through an extensive certification process and look forward to our continued service to the City in this capacity."

Bible Baptist Breaks Ground on new Addition

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently began site work and preparations for the construction of a new addition to the Bible Baptist campus on Skidaway Road in Savannah, GA.  Groundbreaking was held December 12, 2010 and the project is now well underway. 

Greenline Architecture is the design professional on this project, and Tim Thureson is serving as the Project Manager supported by Ernie David as Project Superintendent.

Spirit of Peace Breaks Ground

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently began site work and preparations for construction of Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church in Richmond Hill, GA.  The plans, designed by Neil Dawson of Neil Dawson Architects, call for a 4000 square foot multiple purpose building which will house a sanctuary, classrooms, kitchen and meeting spaces. 
The project is expected to be complete in Spring 2011.

PCI Completes Renovation for Vaden Automotive Group

PCI recently completed a major renovation for Vaden Automotive Group in Savannah, Georgia.  The upgrades to the Vaden Signature Pre-Owned Luxury Car showroom were desined by ReThink Design Studio and included a complete remodel of the 4100 square foot space on Abercorn Street.

Renovations of Historic District Hotel Complete

Pioneer Construction, Inc. recently completed renovations to the ground floor conference and meeting spaces at AVIA Hotel in historic downtown Savannah.  Unique features of this space include decorative carnaby style iconic panels and exposed brick columns.  The 4000 square feet will serve as additional meeting / function space for the hotel's growing sales and catering department.

PCI Joins Historic Savannah Foundation

Historic Savannah Foundation is a local non-profit preservation organization dedicated to protecting and preserving Savannah's heritage.  Chartered in 1955 to preserve the buildings, squares and neighborhoods in the City of Savannah, HSF is a leader in our community.
Recently, PCI became a member of this worthwhile organization.  We are proud to show our support of our community and this organization.
